BATTY (Echolocation): A Blind Bat’s Journey

Storyline: Into the Deepest Darkness
The world above is gone. For a bat, the darkness is usually home—but this cave is different. Deep beneath the earth, a sudden seismic shift has sealed the lowest caverns, trapping your newborn baby bat in the suffocating blackness.
You are a father bat, and there is no time for fear. Your eyes are completely useless in these extreme depths; the pitch-black tunnels devour all light. Your only weapon against the cold stone and unseen dangers is your voice. Every shriek, every click, and every echo creates a fleeting map of the world in your mind. You must fly deeper than any bat has ever dared, read the shape of the stone through sound alone, and follow the distant, faint cries of your pup before the silence becomes permanent.

Gameplay and Controls
Emit Sonic Pulse [SPACEBAR]: Triggers a circular sound wave that briefly illuminates the maze walls and hidden objects in the dark.
Fly [WASD / Arrow Keys]: Precisely steer the flight of the bat through the narrow tunnels.
The Goal: Navigate through absolute darkness, avoid deadly hazards, and reach your Baby Bat (X) to descend deeper into the cave complex.
Advance Menus and Story [ENTER]: Progresses through the title screen and level introductions.

Visible Challenges
5 Levels of Depth: The journey takes you from narrow, claustrophobic stone corridors to massive resonant chambers, culminating in complex mechanical mazes and a grand finale.
Rival Bats: Hostile cave dwellers patrol fixed routes. A single touch from them causes a crash, forcing you to restart the level from the beginning

Hidden Features (Things you won’t notice at first glance!)
Behind the minimalist graphics lies a complex physical and mathematical system that simulates the actual reality of a bat. Please look out for these advanced mechanics during evaluation:
1. Dynamic Room Acoustics (Propagation Shift)
The Feature: The speed and range of your echolocation pulse are not constant across levels!
The Tech Behind It: The game simulates different types of rock and room sizes. In a Narrow Stone Grotto (Level 1), sound travels slowly and is heavily muffled, giving you fine details of the close surroundings. In a Crystal Resonance Hall (Level 2), the sound wave races through the cavern at double the speed, causing the map to flash on screen instantly but also vanish much faster. You must adapt your steering to how fast the room "talks back" to you!
2. Acoustic Puzzles: "Pulse and Silence" Doors
Pulse Doors: These blocking barriers only open during the exact frame that your circular sound wave hits the door's collision box. You have to time your flight perfectly to dash through the gap while the wave is actively holding it open.
Silent Doors: The exact opposite challenge. These doors are highly sensitive to vibrations. If you emit an Echo (SPACEBAR) anywhere near them, they lock down instantly. To pass, you must memorize the path beforehand and cross the room in complete, absolute, and flawless darkness.
3. Destructive Interference (Sonar Blinding)
The Feature: Rival bats emit their own red sonar pulses to track you down.
The Hidden Danger: When your blue echo wave collides with the red wave of an enemy, the vibrations cancel each other out (wave interference). This causes your echolocation to "go blind" at that location, leaving you momentarily disoriented in pitch black while the enemy knows exactly where you are.
4. Tactile Proximity Sensing (Wingtip Air Pressure)
The Feature: Even without pressing the SPACEBAR, a tiny radius (25 pixels) around the bat always remains minimally visible.
The Logic: This simulates a bat's natural sensitivity to air currents. Using fine hairs on their wings, bats can feel the air compressing as they approach a wall. This tactile radar prevents frustrating "instant-deaths" when navigating tight corners without constantly screeching.
5. Mathematically Smooth Modulo Animation
The Feature: The wings of the bat do not move at a generic or random rate.
The Tech Behind It: The animation utilizes a precise looping timer algorithm (frame_count // 6 % 2). If you stay still, the bat glides smoothly. As soon as you move, the wing-flap frequency adapts mathematically to your flight velocity, creating a living, breathing creature in a dark, dead world.

Listen carefully. Adapt. Bring your baby home.
